Dr Nicholas J Gilbert (m)

MBChB DRCOG MRCGP (Birmingham 1985) I qualified in medicine at Birmingham University in 1985 and worked in hospitals for the next three years, gaining experience in paediatrics, ophthalmology, orthopaedics, accident and emergency, and obstetrics and gynaecology.
I passed the membership exam of the Royal College of General Practitioners in 1990, in the same year that I started work at Heathville Medical Practice. I worked as a Police Surgeon with Gloucestershire Constabulary for 15 years and still also carry out duties as an examiner for the DVLA. I have undertaken minor operations at the practice for the last 25 years and have been involved in projects in the city to improve care of the elderly in nursing homes. Most recently, I have helped to oversee our transition from the premises in Heathville Road to the Aspen Centre in Horton Road. I was born in Cardiff and I am learning Welsh, so any Welsh speakers are welcome to come and siarad yn Gymraeg gyda fi! |
